Jobs we fly
We are generalists. Below is what we do most often — but the list is not closed.
Thermal survey of solar installations
We fly the array with an IR camera and find cells and strings running hot. Faults that do not show in an ordinary photo, and that cost you output.
You get: IR images + marked fault overview
Pre-work condition survey
Documentation of condition before work starts or at handover. Date-stamped material you can point to if there is a dispute later.

Files are made ready in the client portal. They stay available for 14 days — download and keep your own copy.

Before you ask
What does a job cost?
It depends on the size of the object, where it is and what you need to know. We do not guess up front. Describe the job and you get a price and an answer on what is possible — usually within one working day.
Do I have to apply for permissions myself?
No. Airspace, permissions and weather are settled before we travel out, and you are told which category the job is flown in. If the site needs something we cannot get in place, we say so before you have spent money on it.
Does the solar installation have to be shut down during the thermal survey?
Quite the opposite — it needs to be running. It is under production that faulty cells and strings run hot, and that heat is exactly what the IR camera sees. An installation standing idle shows nothing.
What about the neighbours? Do they end up on camera?
The camera is pointed at what we are there to document, not at neighbouring properties and private outdoor areas. If someone does end up in a frame, that is material not relevant to the job, and it is deleted. Images we publish as references carry no recognisable people, no registration marks and no position data.
How long do the files stay available?
Fourteen days from delivery. You see the countdown in the portal, and it turns red for the last three days. After that the files are deleted automatically from the server — so download and keep your own copy while they are there.
Do I get the original files, or only a selection?
You get the originals. Only the reference images here on the website are published at low resolution and marked — the material from your job goes out in full quality, and only to you.
Do you only fly what is on the services list?
No, the list is what we do most often. If you have something else, describe it. We will tell you plainly whether we can fly it, what permissions it needs and what it costs — including when the answer is no.
TRAINING
Alker Drone Academy
Courses in EASA and Norwegian drone regulations — open category (A1/A3 and A2) and specific category (STS-01/STS-02, SORA). In Norwegian, English and German.

The courses are theory preparation. Exams are taken through the public system — A1/A3 at flydrone.no, A2 and STS theory at an examination centre approved by the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority. We do not issue certificates of competency, and we are not a recognised entity for practical STS training.
